So, why not start it today?Unknownnoreply@blogger.comBlogger8125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6045189453207363659.post-28013986056763805642019-04-24T07:29:00.000-07:002019-04-24T07:29:12.246-07:00A Day with EntrepreneursToday's the day that I attended the mentorship program of DTI. A lot of things happened:<br />
1. There are lots of people especially entrepreneurs that need coaching and guidance.<br />
2. FAILURE is a part of being an entrepreneur. The most important thing though is rise up from that failure and try again and again and again. Don't repeat the same mistake twice.<br />
3. Comfort is not the goal. You need to hustle.<br />
4. Family must not be neglected though, so work life balance is a need.<br />
5. LEARN! Everyday.<br />
6. Write and record.<br />
7. Put God first though since He is the one who gives and takes away. Pray always.<br />
<br />
The speakers vary:<br />
1. Mindsetting- Not good with definitions and public speaking skill is not good. But she's very successful in her own field, and her experience is a help for me. What I learn is to be hands on, know everything about your business and grow and grow and grow.<br />
<br />
2. Marketing- He is very good. The topic was well discussed. Need begets wants. Segmentation and positioning. Target audience must always be put on a high priority.<br />
<br />
3. 2 Testimonies- Great stories of failures and successes.<br />
<br />
Our Company<br />
- Ah there's a lot of things that I need to do:<br />
a. Journal<br />
b. Papers<br />
c. Processes<br />
d. New Products/Services<br />
e. Study<br />
<br />
My Own<br />
a. International Clients<br />
b. Budgeting<br />
c. Sop2<br />
d. Family and Relationships<br />
e. Work Life Balance/ Including Spiritual<br />

Been binge watching Criminal Minds during the morning. Thank goodness, I had time earlier to wash my clothes. :) So here's what I learned today:<br />
<br />
<b>PEOPLE:</b><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Cousin: I saw my cousin when I bought coffee at Jolibee. It's been a long while that I didn't see him. We didn't chit chat, but I am happy that he looks well and seems well too.</li>
<li>Ba: We talked about our business today and how to really got an income from our efforts. As usual he was bantering on some things that doesn't make me feel comfortable. Good thing I explained to him why I'm not comfortable with his words and visions, though he has a good point. I'm still thinking about what he said to me (this is with regards to our business)</li>
<li>Teacher M: Talked with her about our Bible Study and the missed Bible studies for two consecutive weeks. She told me that I will be the one facilitating this Saturday.</li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />
<b>EXPERIENCE:</b><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Reading while washing clothes.</li>
<li>Rest and not think about work</li>
<li>Roam around SM</li>
<li>Eat the right food and not go hungry even though I don't have lots of money on my wallet. :(</li>
<li>Worry about our bills, but having faith that God will provide.</li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />
<b>OPPORTUNITIES:</b><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Opportunity to think a solution to our current problem on our business finance.</li>
<li>Opportunity to attend church and pray.</li>
<li>Opportunity to start again this blog. :)</li>
<li>Opportunity to live a life TODAY and learn something new.</li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />
Here's what I can share on my day's learning:<br />

<br />
<i>Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins. A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” A voice says, “Cry out.” And I said, “What shall I cry?” “All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” You who bring good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good news to Jerusalem,lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, “Here is your God!” See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance? Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as his counselor? Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge, or showed him the path of understanding? Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust. Lebanon is not sufficient for altar fires, nor its animals enough for burnt offerings. Before him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing. With whom, then, will you compare God? To what image will you liken him? As for an idol, a metalworker casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and fashions silver chains for it. A person too poor to present such an offering selects wood that will not rot; they look for a skilled worker to set up an idol that will not topple. Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded? He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff. “To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. Why do you complain, Jacob? Why do you say, Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded by my God”? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.</i><br />

<b>“What do you do when someone throws a spear at you?”</b><br />
Light, clarity, and comfort for the brokenhearted. This best-selling tale is based on the biblical figures of David, Saul, and Absalom. For the many Christians who have experienced pain, loss, and heartache at the hands of other believers, this compelling story offers comfort, healing, and hope. Christian leaders and directors of religious movements throughout the world have recommended this simple, powerful, and beautiful story to their members and staff. You will want to join the thousands who have been profoundly touched by this incomparable story.<br />

<br />
<b>My Review:</b><br />
I've read this book for an hour, which means that this book is really interesting and a fast read. The beginning is quite unusual, yet as I've continue reading the pages, I realized the reason of the style of the author. <br />
<br />
The story of the three kings; David, Saul and Absalom is a very good example of being a leader and being a follower. David's story is a perfect example of brokenness. His reactions to Saul (authority) and Absalom (follower) is an unusual reaction nowadays but a very godly one. I can actually relate with David since I've been under authority of a not so good leader, yet I'm guilty of a wrong reaction unlike David. I hope I had read this book before, but well God has His reason why I just read this now.<br />
<br />
So out of 5 rating, I will rate this as 4.5. And I highly recommend this book to my fellow Christians out there who are struggling with leadership and authority from their church leaders.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6045189453207363659.post-61639081546724558172014-05-12T21:31:00.002-07:002014-05-12T21:31:58.111-07:00Today I Learned: What do I Live for?#TodayILearned about this song...<br />

I love the idea as well as the simplicity of it.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Young</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We only wake ’cause our eyes are open</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Open so wide we walk in the dark</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Trying so hard to keep what we’re losing</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Using our feet to show them the movements</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And they wake up, and they go out</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Head in a cloud</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We were like them before we were older</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Just like they’re grow to be as we are</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And still only speak with wording of caution</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sow and we reap what we’re putting forward</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And they wake up, And they go out</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Head in a cloud</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We can look down, see what we were</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Shaking our fingers and using our words</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We’re all awake; we don’t go out</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Head in a cloud</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Rush goes to the head it’s all perception</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I know, even so we all need time to grow</div>

<i>Darcy Prendergast of the Melbourne-based production company Oh Yeah Wow decided to challenge his team with an ambitious project. In just seven days, they would gather 350 people and shoot thousands of portrait photos of them that they would then assemble into one stop-motion music video. Australian band The Paper Kites had created a beautiful song called Young that was about the fine line between individuality and conformity and they needed a video to convey this somewhat abstract idea.</i> </blockquote>

<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<i>Essentially a puzzle platformer, Type:Rider takes players on a journey of fonts and beautiful graphics. Each level is designed thematically based on different typefaces. For example, the Gothic stage has a Gregorian soundtrack and stark backdrops. As you maneuver your colon (the punctuation mark, not the organ) through each level, you discover the history and legacy of each font. There's even talk of a secret level featuring the aforementioned, widely hated Comic Sans. Since I started my career on social media, Twitter has been a fascination. With its limited 140 characters, a Twitter user must make the most out of those few words in order to communicate well with another user. It's cool, awesome and somehow challenging!<br />

Here's what I've learned today (via Mashable):</div>
